Part Marking Specifications Page

You can view the specifications that are attached to a part marking object.

  1. Access a part marking Properties page. See Part Marking Properties Page.
  2. Click the Marking Specification category.

Columns

ColumnDescription
Selection button Lets you select a specification to download, checkout, or remove
Locked status If this column contains a lock icon, then the file has been locked for editing
Name Name of the specification
Title The title given to the file when it was created
Type Specification type or subtype
Actions This column contains icons representing actions that you can perform for the document. See Documents and Content.
Description An overview of the document's content
State The current state of the specification in its lifecycle

Actions Menu and Page Toolbar

Click any of the following commands from the page Actions menu or toolbar to work with the specification. When you click a command, it is performed on all checked specifications.

Action Description
Create New Create a specification. For details, see Creating a Part Marking Specification
Download Download a file checked into the specification to your local disk
Checkout View a file checked into the specification in your local browser
Remove Remove a specification from the list. This removes the relationship between the specification and the part marking, but does not delete the specification from the database.
