By default, when opening a product with representations, they are displayed in Visu mode
(that is, a lightweight display mode to optimize memory). To fully edit representations, you
must switch them to Edit mode.
The Edit mode also enables you to perform additional operations. For example, in Product Structure Design, the Edit mode is required for seeing representations in
the NoShow space.
Tip:
You cannot switch to Edit mode if the available memory is too low (a warning
message appears). To be informed, select Memory Warning in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > General > Commands. For more information, see Native Apps Preferences
Guide: General.
In the tree, select one or more branches with
representations.
Note:
All the representations in this branch (parent and child levels of your
selection) are taken into account.
From the Tools section of the action bar, click Switch to Edit Mode.
Important:
This command is optional. By default, the system automatically
switches a representation to Edit Mode when you expand nodes and display
representations.
Tip:
You can also select this command from the context menu.
A dialog box appears.
In the dialog box, click Yes to confirm the switch to Edit
mode.
The representations of the selected branches are switched
to Edit mode.
Optional: If at least one object has failed to load because of concurrent
modifications done by another user, the Representation Loading Failed
dialog box appears. Select one of these commands:
