Prepared faces are the faces that create the void if required for the basic weld shape to fit in.

Continuous Welds (Prepared Parts) Without Broad Root FaceYou can create continuous V-butt welds with prepared parts by selecting adjacent faces of the parts. When faces are in pairs (that is, there is the same number of subelements inside each support, so that faces have one-to-one correspondence), you can create the weld as follows: |
