Saving after a Work Plan Publication with a Released Operation

If there are any Released Operations in a Workplan / System and you are performing some action that requires a save on non-Released data use the Save with Options command. An example of this is a new or modified content on the Workplan / System. This excludes the Released Operations from the save scope so that the non-Released data can save. Using Share > Save fails.

Whenever Views of an Operation are applied, this action results in the Operation being flagged as modified (even if no explicit modifications are done inside the Views by you).

Note: Views applied explicitly by you, or implicitly as part of different user actions / scenarios, namely:
  • Clicking Activate Views for Operation command in the Instruction Authoring section of the action bar.
  • Selecting an Operation in the Operations Sequencer, the filmstrip.

  • Selecting the preference Activate Views on Operation selection in Customising Preferences, Display.
  • Clicking Generate Documentation commands, for Operation , and for All Operations in the Instruction Tools section of the action bar.
  • Click Publish for Review . In the Publish Options dialog box, using the 2D Views option when clicking OK to generate new published content.

Select the Share > Save > Save with Options before using these commands.

In the Save with Options dialog box, select the row with the Maturity Released, click Exclude from Save Scope , then OK to save.
