3DPlay Web App

3DPlay offers an intuitive navigation experience on several platforms, to discover 3D models and their associated experiences in real-time. You can also use 3DPlay to visualize 2D content. You can use 3DPlay with standard as well as with touch devices, and with some mobile devices.

This guide deals with the dashboard version of 3DPlay. In this guide, the app may be referred to as 3DPlay Web App, or as 3DPlay.

3DPlay provides several ways to experience content in your dashboard:

  • Open 2D or 3D content.
  • View, manipulate and enrich content.
  • Share content.
  • Play experiences or scenarios associated with certain types of content.
  • Filter content using 6WTags. For more information, see Filtering with 6WTags.

This app supports the transition mechanism. For more information, see Switching Apps.

  • The transition mechanism implies that the type of content currently loaded is supported in the app you are switching to.
  • Switching from one app to another changes the working context. Each app has a specific set of commands, capabilities and behavior that you may not find in another app.

This product might use or depict Intellectual Property (IP) protected data. It is the user’s responsibility to safeguard the IP protected data when allowing others to view, export, or print the data. This includes the thumbnail representations of parts or assemblies used in markup screens.
