View Section for 3D Content

The primary area of the View section of the action bar provides commands for manipulating and viewing 3D content.

For information about standard commands in this area, see 3D Views.

Note: On small-size devices, the display is optimized. The display width determines how many commands are directly available in the action bar. Click to the right of the action bar to access the other commands.

Fit All In
Fits the entire model in the 3D area.
Pan
Moves the model view horizontally and vertically.
Click Pan, then drag in any direction.
Rotate
Turns the model around the vertical axis or around the horizontal axis.
Click Rotate, then drag horizontally or vertically.
Zoom In or Out
Zooms in or out.
Drag up to zoom in, and drag down to zoom out.
Standard Views
Displays your content using standard views: top, bottom, left, right, and isometric.

To switch between views, click the arrows, the isometric view icon, or the rotation icons at the bottom of the 3D area. You can also use the keyboard.

To exit the standard views mode, click an empty area, or display the action bar.

Note: The following keyboard shortcuts let you switch between views.

View Modes...
Lets you modify the current view using predefined view modes.
You can also apply default or predefined appearances to your objects.

Note: Materials can be displayed on physical products using Shading with Materials or Shading with Materials and Edges . For more information, see Materials, and the Live Rendering User's Guide.
Annotation Tour
Switches from one annotation viewpoint to another.
To go though the annotation series, click the arrows to the left or to the right of the work area.
Display Side Panel
Hides or shows the side panel and provides information about the selected object.
The tabs displayed vary depending on the type of the selected object.

Content-Specific Command

Annotation Blanking
Blanks the background of annotations to improve their readability.
3D Marker Responsive Display
Hides 3D markers when zooming out, displays them again when zooming in.
To preserve the display of some 3D markers, select them before zooming out.
