Operator Library

The Operator Library provides a list of all available operators.

This page discusses:

Operators

The Operator Library lists all available operators to the exception of the Isolate operator. For more information on the Isolate operator, see Isolate operator.

Note: For information on the selectors available for the operators, see Selectors.

Decimate operator
Reduces the number of triangles in a mesh by removing vertices.
See Decimate operator properties
Defeature operator
Optimizes the geometric representation of the product by removing design details such as holes or fillets from an exact geometry to get a simpler prepared product.
See Defeature operator properties
Note: This is a beta operator, see Beta Operators and Selectors.
Before After
Delete operator
Deletes entities from the structure based on the specifications of the corresponding selector.
Note: Combine this operator with a selector.
See Delete operator properties
Before After
Envelop operator
Creates a 3D imitation or hull copying the shape of the selected element.
See Envelop operator properties
Note: This operator is similar to the Impostor - Envelop operator but without baked textures.
Before After
Impostor - Envelop operator
Replaces a selection by a 3D imitation of the input based on voxels including a baked texture.
See Impostor - Envelop operator properties
Note: This is a beta operator, see Beta Operators and Selectors.
Jacketing operator
Reduces the complexity of meshes and structures by removing faces or elements fully hidden. Concealed surfaces are detected by rays calculated by the CPU.
See Jacketing operator properties
Material assign operator
Applies material on the selected shapes.
See Material assign operator properties
Material remove operator
Removes all materials from Instances, RepInstances, bodies and faces.
See Material remove operator properties
Merge operator
Combines the selected structure elements in a single mesh.
See Merge operator properties
Optimize Mesh operator
Reduces the internal structure of meshes to limit draw calls.
See Optimize mesh operator properties
Projection mapping operator
Modifies the mapping operator of assigned materials (planar, cubic, UV etc.).
See Projection mapping operator properties
Replace operator
For often used standard parts, for example nuts, bots or screws, this operator replaces items either based on a mapping table document or using a replacement product structure. The operator makes replacements only for your current selection.
See Replace operator properties
Note: This is a beta operator, see Beta Operators and Selectors.
Set label operator
Assigns a transient label to the selected elements. Used together with the Label Expression selector.
Important: Labels are lost during some operations.
See Set label operator properties
Tessellate operator
Computes triangle meshes (cgr) that approximate the exact definition of a geometry.
Note: This operator removes the NURBs (cgm) information. After tessellating once it is therefore useless to execute further tessellate operators. Input meshes (cgr) cannot be transformed anymore.
See Tessellate operator properties
Unwrap operator
Computes texture coordinates (UV) on meshes.
See Unwrap Operator Properties

Isolate operator

Isolate operator
Creates a new product duplicating the input product's geometry and animations. All parts are switched to physical products and shapes are made shareable during this operation.
Note: This operator appears by default at the beginning of an operation. You cannot create or delete it.
See Isolate operator properties

Selectors

Property selector
Selects elements of the structure (references or instances) based on the values of attributes such as title or name.
See Property Selector
Size selector
Selects shapes based on the longest dimension of the respective bounding boxes, means bigger or smaller than a value.
See Size Selector
Material selector
Selects elements of the structure on which a provided material is assigned.
See Material Selector
Note: This is a beta selector, see Beta Operators and Selectors.
Structure selector
Selects elements based on their position in the structure such as root, one level below the root etc.
See Structure Selector
Proximity selector
Selects elements close to a set of other elements defined by a label.
See Proximity Selector
Note: This is a beta selector, see Beta Operators and Selectors.
Label expression selector
Selects elements validating a Boolean expression of lables.
See Label expression
