Product and Part Properties

The Product and Part Properties panel manages product or part properties. You can use this panel to edit and view the following properties of a product or part.

To access the Product and Part Properties panel, select a product or a part in the viewport:

  • To select a product, click or tap it once in the viewport. The whole product is then highlighted.
  • To select one part of the selected product, click or tap again the part you want to select.

This page discusses:

Name
Displays the name of the selected product or part.
Note: You cannot rename products or parts in xStudio.

Transformation
Name
Displays the name of the selected product or part.
Note: You cannot rename products or parts in xStudio.

Position
Defines the position of the product or part in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note: Values are in mm.
You can also use the Robot in the viewport to modify the position of the selected product or part.

Rotation
Defines the orientation of the product or part in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note: Values are in degrees.
You can also use the Robot in the viewport to modify the orientation of the selected product or part.

Scale
Defines the uniform scale factor of the product or part.
You can also use the dot above the z-axis (or w-axis) arrow of the Robot to modify the scale of the selected product or part in the viewport.

Material Properties

When you select a part, not only the product properties tab opens in the panel, but also the material tab of the corresponding assigned material is available.
