Properties in the Product Structure Tree

Whenever you open a product or see products in a list, you can view one or more product properties. The properties are described in the following table.

Note: Many of the properties appear in the child product list while others appear in the Properties tab. For information, see Product Properties.

Column Description
Title

The user-defined title of the object.

Title The title of the product instance.
Enterprise Item Number A text string that identifies the product. You can edit the number anytime after creating the product.
Mass The mass of the core material.
Volume The volume of the core material, such as in L or mL.
Revision The revision of the product. For more information, see Creating a Child Product Revision.
Is Last Revision Indicates whether the revision is the latest. A check mark indicates the latest version. An 'x' indicates an older version.
Quantity The number of instances of the child product or the sum of the core materials attached to the parent. If some core material instances are measured in mass while others are in volume, both are shown such as "21.4 g + 32.4 L". Click the value for the list of instances.
Maturity State The lifecycle state of the child. To update the maturity state, click the state shown.
Owner The picture and name of the person who created the child (unless it has been transferred to another user).
Lock Indicates whether someone has locked the product.

Modification Date The date on which the child was last modified.
Type The child's object type.
Name The name of the child instance.
Product Configuration The effectivity definition, if any, for the product.
Core Material The main substance that makes up the product.
Note: If the child is a 3D part and a core material has been applied to the part's 3D shape, the core material is listed as an attribute of the 3D part and is shown as "[Partial]". The core material for the 3D shape appears blank.
Covering Material The main substance that coats or covers the surface of the product. This column indicates the covering material, that applies to all occurrences of the object under the common parent.
Covering Material This column indicates the covering material that applies to the selected instance of the object.
Manufacturable/Procurable Indicates whether the object is to be manufactured/procured. (yes) or (no). For more information, see the description for "Manufacturable/Procurable" in Product Properties.
Alternate Displays if the child instance has a specified alternate product.
