The content you can access and the tasks you can perform depend on your access role. For more information, see 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: Content Categories.

Access Roles

Every user of Formulation Design has a 3DS role that provides access to the application. Within the application, each user has a more specific access role that the Formulation Design administrator assigns to him or her.

The table below describes the available levels of access for working with formulas. Users with the Formulation Designer 3DS role can have the access role of Reviewer, Collaborator, or Owner. Users with the Laboratory Reviewer 3DS role can only have the access role of Reviewer.

3DS Role Description Available Formulation Design Access Roles

Access roles can be assigned to both individual users and to user groups, defined in the User Groups app. For more information, see User Groups. If a user's individual roles differ from the roles of his or her user groups, the user can perform all actions from both sets of roles.

Your business administrator can configure rules that change the default access behavior.

On premises only: Your business administrator can change the default responsibilities that control your access to commands, content, and collaborative spaces. Companies can also implement additional customized responsibilities.

This guide describes the default behavior when describing access to content or commands.

For more information, see 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: Responsibilities.
