Bookmark Root Page

The Bookmark Root page lists all the Bookmark Roots that you belong to and all Bookmark Roots that you own. You might belong to some Bookmark Roots because you are assigned to an organization and collaborative space that has been added to the Bookmark Root.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Contributor

To access this page, with Collaboration and Approvals the active app, click Team > Bookmark Roots in the navigation pane.

Columns

Column Name Description
Title The title of the Bookmark Root. When you click the title, you see the list of Bookmarks in that Bookmark Root. For more information, see Bookmarks Page.
Description The purpose of the Bookmark Root, for example the type of data it is intended to manage.
State The current lifecycle state of the Bookmark Root. If you own a Bookmark Root, it is listed no matter what its state. If you are a member but not the owner, the Bookmark Root is listed only if it is in the Active state. If the Bookmark Root is in the Create state, the owner (who is the only one who can access the Bookmark Root in the Create state) cannot add content or create routes.
Owner The person who has primary responsibility for the Bookmark Root. When a person creates a Bookmark Root, that person becomes the owner. The Bookmark Root owner has full access to all components of the Bookmark Root.

Filters

To shorten the list so it includes only Bookmark Roots in the Active state, choose > Active.

Create Bookmark Root Creates the Bookmark Root without defining Bookmark structures or member access. Creating Bookmark Roots
Bookmark Root Wizard Creates the Bookmark Root using the wizard tool. Creating a Bookmark Root Using the Wizard
Delete Deletes the selected Bookmark Root; click OK to confirm. You can only delete Bookmark Roots that you own, and all Bookmarks and Sub Bookmarks must be empty. --
Change Ownership Selects a different person to own the Bookmark Root. You can only change the ownership to a person who is listed on the Sharing page for the Bookmark Root.

When you designate someone else as the owner, you can no longer perform owner-only tasks, such as editing Bookmark Root details, reassigning ownership, and archiving.
