Access Roles

Building and Civil Assemblies uses the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 3DSpace baseline access roles that your business administrator assigns to you. The table below describes the level of access for each role.

Responsibility Description
Reader Has read access to any content, and can create and modify Personal Management category content.
Author Is allowed to use all commands provided by Building and Civil Assemblies.

He also manages any review and simulation content of the collaborative space of which contributors are members.
Public Reader Is a passive role which the Administrator can assign on a case-by-case basis to "invite" external users to access public content owned by another collaborative space AND organization.

Building and Civil Assemblies uses app-specific roles, instead of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 3DSpace baseline roles. If you know your baseline role, use the table below to map it to your app-specific responsibility.

 In Collaborative Space Protected. He can add geolocation extensions to products.

BIM Technician

  • Define objects by referencing object types
  • Cannot modify object types
  • Can request to have access to an object type that is missing in the database.

Leader

Geomatician

Project leader

Leader in Collaborative Space Standard. He can import and create CRS.

BIM Manager

In Collaborative Space Protected.

  • Imports object types in database as standards.
  • Can create in house object types and test them.

Owner

Project leader (must be both an owner and a leader)

 In Collaborative Space Protected. He can bind the CRS resource to a project (the project is the Collaborative Space).
Public Reader

Your business administrator can change the default accesses to commands, content, and collaborative spaces. Companies can also implement customized roles and accesses. This guide describes the default behavior when describing access to content or commands.
