Open the Dialog Box and View the Objects
-
Select
Share > Save > Save with Options
(or use
Ctrl+Shift+S).
The Save with Options dialog box displays the list of all the objects that belong to the save scope.Notes:
- A new aggregated representation cannot be saved without its reference. Representation instances of aggregated representations are not displayed in the Save dialog box.
- If the app supports it, when the
Save with Options dialog box appears,
the B.I.
Essentials panel displays the legend
used for the save status. For more information, see Save Status.
The status of each reference/instance occurrence is displayed in the tree whenever the Save with Options dialog box opens and each object is highlighted in the geometry area with the corresponding color. This helps you detect which content is impacted by the current save operation.
A label is also displayed in the geometry area and contains the following information (below is the exhaustive list but depending on the object's status, only part of the information might be displayed):
- Status in session (for example New, To be saved, or Excluded) with the corresponding icon
- Lock status
- Display name with the Type icon
- Revision status ( To be revised, if being revised) with the corresponding icon
- Minor Revision status
- As New status
- Branch status
- Error message if the object is impacted by the saving failure
Tip: If you select objects that cannot be saved, an Incident Report dialog box appears. When you close this dialog box, the Save with Options dialog box appears. The objects at the origin of the error are displayed in the list with the icon in the Modification column. However, if the Automatically exclude objects that cannot be saved option is selected in the Preferences panel, the Save with Options dialog box directly appears, and these objects are displayed as excluded in the list, with the icon in the Modification column. When you click OK, these objects are skipped. For more information, see Save
- Optional: In the Save with Options dialog box, right-click anywhere then click Select All.
- Optional:
Click Zoom In
(or use the
Zoom In contextual command).
All references are exploded.
The Save dialog box displays the objects in a single list so that:
- Objects are not mixed when they belong to two different editors that do not share any content.
- Objects can be mixed when they belong to two different editors that share at least one object.
Tips: -
The columns and their order of appearance in the Save dialog box can be customized in the Save options in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Social and Collaborative > Global Design Management > Collaborative IP Management > Save. You can also define which object types can be listed in the dialog box. By default, representation instances are not displayed. For more information on this tab, see Save.
In addition, reference nodes can be sorted in each column by clicking the column title. When a column is sorted, all displayed children of each reference remain displayed under their parent reference. To retrieve the initial order, click the # column title.
- Double-clicking a reference in the Display Name or in the # column lets you expand or collapse it.
- Multiselection is supported when using the Zoom In and Zoom Out commands.
- Optional:
Click View Filter
.
The Dashboard Filter dialog box lets you filter objects listed in the Save dialog box according to their type or their status.
References are always displayed and this is why the References check box is selected and grayed out. You can configure the types to be displayed in the Save dialog box through the Save tab.
