- Markup
- Creates a markup linked to a product, part, or 2D drawing in session. If
several root products, parts, or 2D drawings are
loaded in session, select one in the
Markup dialog
box.

- Slide
- Captures a specific
state of the markups, displaying sections, measurements, annotations, etc.

- Formats
- Opens the format edit mode. If there is no format created in the loaded
markup, a new format is created.

- Arrow
- Creates an arrow to
draw attention to a particular part or portion of a
product.

- Click an object or in the 3D area to position the tip of the arrow.
- Use the manipulators on the arrow to define the orientation and
approximate size of the arrow.
- To position its anchor point precisely, drag the arrow.
You can use the highlighted parts as visual clues.
- Customize the color or transparency of the arrow using the options
available in the context toolbar. Click the background to close the context
toolbar.

- 3D Compare
- Compares two 3D objects visually.

Flyout for Text
|
- Text
- Adds text, linked to a particular part or portion of a product. This marker
changes its position according to the changes in the viewpoint.

- Click on an object or in the 3D area.
- Edit the text as required.
- Drag the annotation to position it precisely.
- Customize the annotation using the options available in the context
toolbar. Click the background to close the context toolbar.
Note:
The default text for this type of marker is set as the name of the
feature recognized at the point selected for the marker creation. If no feature is
detected at the selected point, no default text is added.

- Inserts a picture, linked to a particular part or portion of a product. This
marker changes its position according to the changes in the
viewpoint.
- Click to position the anchor
point of the picture, and then either take a picture with your webcam, or
browse to select an existing picture. Then, use the manipulators and the
context toolbar to customize the position and appearance of this
annotation.

- 2D Text
- Adds a text marker that is not linked to any object. This marker does not change
its position according to the changes in the viewpoint.

- Click a geometrical element or the background.
- Edit the text as required.
- Drag the annotation to position it precisely.
- Customize the annotation using the options available in the context
toolbar. Click the background to close the context toolbar.

Flyout for Section
|
- Section
- Cuts through
objects using a section plane, to see and access details inside the object, and
to measure hidden items.

In the
context toolbar,
choose options to customize the section (cut side, orientation, viewpoint,
etc.).
- To rotate the plane, drag its edges.
- To resize the plane, drag its corners.
- To position the plane on a specific surface of the object, drag the blue
central sphere towards that surface.
- To translate the plane, drag its surface, or use the slider if available.

- Hide or Show Section Plane

Toggles the visibility of the section planes already created, without affecting
the visibility of the section plane that is being created.
- This lets you see cut elements more clearly and access items
to measure more easily.
