About the 3D View

The 3D View panel lets you visualize the 3D representation and product build-up of a selected item, product, system, operation or resource.

The 3D View panel lets you also visualize FTA requirements associated with the product. To display FTA requirements, select Show FT&A ON in the Product BuildUp Options panel.

3D Viewer

The 3D viewer of the 3D View panel lets you visualize the 3D representation of a selected object.



The name of the selected object appears at the top of the panel.

You can zoom and rotate the 3D representation to better visualize the selected object.

The axis system provides the current view point.

You can multi-select items, products, systems, operations or resources pressing Ctrl + Shift. The 3D representations of the selected objects are displayed in the 3D viewer.

3D View List Panel

The 3D View List panel gives you more information about the selected items, products, systems, operations or resources.

The panel is displayed by clicking List Shown in the 3D View panel.

The 3D View List panel shows the build-up categories of the selected objects and lists the objects implemented by the selected items, systems or operations.

When you insert a manufacturing assembly with children, only the manufacturing assembly appears in the 3D View List.

Cross-Highlighting

Cross-highlighting allows you to better visualize the selected object in the tree and the work area.

When you select an object in the 3D View List or 3D View panel, the selected object is highlighted in the 3D viewer, the work area and the tree.
