IP Protection Classes

You can manage security classes.

Important:
  • It is not recommended to use IP Classify and Reuse to manage IP Protection Management libraries and classes.
  • The number of IP Security Classes should not exceed 200.

Required access role: Leader

To access this page:

  1. Open a security library. For more information, see Opening an IP Protection Library.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Classes.

Columns

Column Name Description
Title The title of the security class.
Type The type of security class.
Name The automatically generated name of the security class.
Description The detailed description of the security class.
State The current lifecycle state of the security class: Inactive or Active.
Data Rights Code For IP Control attributes. Code for data rights assignment according to EIA 836.
Data Rights Expiration Date For IP Control attributes. The date when the assigned data rights expire.
Data Rights Statement Text For IP Control attributes. Statement to correspond with data rights code.
Classification Path The security library and security class classification path with which the class is associated. You can click the hyperlink to open the security library or class.

Add Existing Adds existing objects to the library. IP Export Control Management and IP Protection Managementclasses both display in the search results. -
Move Moves the selected item. -
Remove Removes selected items from the list. -
Delete Deletes the selected security class. -
