New Component Request Wizard Enhancements
- The New Component Request wizard has been enhanced to make creating a
component request easier.
- The following enhancements have been made:

Filtering Component Requests
- You can now filter component requests using the menu on
the component request list page.
- The new filter has the following options:
- Active - lists all component requests. By default, Active is selected.
- Approved - lists the approved component requests.
- Canceled - lists all canceled component request.
- Rejected - lists all rejected component requests.
- All - lists all component requests.
Benefits: You can now easily filter component requests.

Sending 3DNotifications to Members
- A 3DNotification is now sent to users or user groups when they are added to, updated, or removed from
a user or user group.
Benefits: You now receive notifications about Member events.

Managing Related Items
- The Related Components tab was renamed
Related Items.
- The following enhancements have also been made to the Related
Items tab:
- The Input Items and Answer Items are now vertically and horizontally aligned. If
enough space is available, the related items section is vertically aligned. If less
space is available, the related items section is horizontally aligned.
- The Source information added in the New
Component Request wizard displays in a tile and data grid view on the
Related Items tab in the Input Items section.
- You can add a new source. The Add New Source command has
been added to the Input Items toolbar.
- You can edit an existing source from the
Properties tab on the Information panel of the selected
source.
- You can delete a source from the Input Items toolbar or from the source context menu.
Benefits: It is now easier to manage related items.

- The Input Item and Answer Item toolbar commands have been reorganized.
- The toolbar commands are now separated by object type.

Customizing the Data Grid View
- You can now customize the data grid view for sourcing objects throughout the
app
using the following settings:
- Column order
- Visibility
- Width
- Sort Order
- Row groupings
The customized settings persist after refreshing the app or
browser, changing the view, or logging in and out while using the same app.
Benefits: It is now easier to view sourcing objects in the data grid view.

Accessing the Source Change Notification for Multiple Sources
- You can now access Source information for multiple sources.
- The Source Type attribute is added to the Source
section on the New Component Request wizard and is prefilled as configured from the
request template. The Source information attributes are populated based on the source
type configured in the request template. If the source type is not configured in the
request template, the source information section is not added to the wizard, and you
cannot add source information.
Benefits: You can now define multiple sources for component requests from various
available source types.

Renamed Source Change Notification Request Categories
- The Source Change Notification request category attributes are
renamed.

- Change Number is renamed Notification Number.
- Change Issue Date is renamed Notification Issue Date.
- Change Description is renamed Notification Description.
- Reason for Change is renamed Reason for Notification.
Benefits: The Source Change Notification request categories are now named consistently
across apps.

Adding Attachments
- Now, any attachment connected to a component request that is in the In Draft
maturity state is considered an input item. These input items display on the
Attachments tab and the Input Items section of the
Related Items tab.
- Removed attachments remain input items, but are removed from the
Attachments tab.
Benefits: It is now easier to manage attachments.

Dragging Attachments for Component Requests
- You can now add attachments from 3DSearch or any other app by
dragging and dropping the objects into the Attachments field of
the New Component Request wizard.
- A blue dotted line displays around the Attachments
field to indicate the drop zone. The dropped attachments are added to the source
information section as an attachment.
Benefits: It is now easier to add attachments to component requests.

- You can now add input items by dragging and dropping the objects into the
drop zone of the Input Item field on the New Component
Request wizard and the Input Items section of the
Related Items tab.

Removed Source Information from Component Request Properties
- The source information has been removed from the component request
Properties tab. Now, the source information displays on the
Input Items section of the Related Items
tab.
Benefits: Redundant information has been removed.

- The following attributes have been removed from the New Component

Approving Component Requests
- You can now approve component requests that are in the Request Approval
maturity state using the Approve command from the component request context menu.
- If you have edit access, and the component request has no pending tasks, you
can approve the component request and move it to the Under Implementation maturity
state.
Benefits: You can now approve the component request.
Viewing Source Details
- You can now view the source details from the
Attachments tab.

The manufacturer part number and the manufacturer information now display on the tile
and thumbnail views and the Source column added to the data grid view. If a document
does not contain source information, that document was directly added to the
Attachments tab and not from a datasheet document. If you remove a datasheet document
from the Attachments tab, the corresponding source information removes the document
information.
Benefits: You can now view source details in multiple ways.

Adding Component Requests as Input Items and Answer Items
- You can now add component requests as input items and answer
items.
- You can now do the following:
- Add input items and answer items as component requests.
- Add input items as component requests directly from the toolbar.
- You can configure Has Answer Items in the request template
to add component requests as an option. If selected, you can add an answer items as
a component request in the Submitted, Under Review, and Under Implementation states.
- Add Component Request from the list of options in the
Request Details step of the New Component
Request wizard. You can select a component request to be added as an
input item.
- View the input items and answer items of the component request in Relations.
Benefits: You can now add a component request as an input item and an answer
item.
Displaying the Component Request
- Previously, all component categories selected in the request template display
on the component request list page. Now, only the component category selected at
component request creation displays. The component category is indexed and can be
filtered based on the selected component category.
Benefits: You can easily identify the selected component category.

- You can now view the user who submitted the component request.

Loading Data
- To improve performance, the component request list page now loads data in
chunks of 100 objects at a time. Each time you scroll, the next 100 objects
display.

Autocomplete Field Enhancements
- Autocomplete enhancements have been made in the component request.
- The following enhancements have been made:
- The text that you enter in these fields remains until you remove it. You can click
to clear the text that is an actual value.
- The text that you enter in these fields is considered search criteria when you
click
Search. If no text is entered, all applicable objects display
when searching.
- A maximum of 500 objects are listed at one time. You can also use 3DSearch to filter and search for objects based on the search criteria.
- Three characters are required to filter suggestions, except for the workflow
fields and the request template field. Suggestions display when you click in the
workflow and the request template fields.
- When searching for request assignees, the text entered is considered the search
criteria. The text entered in all other fields is matched in the exact sequential
order.
Benefits: You can easily enter information.
Displaying All Activities
- You can now view all activities in the
Activity tab by default.
Benefits: You can easily view activities related to the component request.

- The Add Reference Documents command on the

Component Request Policy Enhancements
- The component request policy has been enhanced.
- The following enhancements have been made to the SRC Request policy:
- Previously, if the request assignee was not a member of the collaborative space,
they could not modify a submitted component request. Now, the request assignee who
is not a member of the collaborative space can perform all the operations that a
request assignee could perform on the component request.
- Users who are part of the collaborative space will have view access.
- The collaborative space owner or leader cannot modify the submitted component
request unless they are the request assignee added as leader or contributor in the
Members tab.
Benefits: The policy that defines the component request is enhanced to make it easier to
manage component requests.

New Home Page
- The Component Request Management
home page has been updated with more options. Now, when you start Component Request Management, you see the home page fully expanded. You can collapse the home page to show only icons or expand the home page to show activities and their icons. You
can now access user assistance from the home page.

Searching for Manufacturers Using Supply Network Management
- Previously, when creating or editing component requests, you searched for
manufacturers from 3DSearch. Now, you can search for manufacturers used in the Source section using Supply Network Management.
Benefits: You can search for manufacturers that are created in Supply Network Management.

User and User Group Images
- The user and user group images on the
Members tab are enhanced.

- The user's SWYM image
displays on the tile view and the
Add Member dialog box. The

Displaying Private User Groups
- Now, private user groups can be shared to users with Viewer access. Users
with Viewer access can view private user groups on the
Members tab, use private user groups in other apps, such
as 3DSwym and 3DDashboard, but cannot modify private user groups. <<No access>>
displays as the private user group title for the context user without Viewer
access.
Benefits: Provides different visibility to groups depending on users.
