Restricting Your Search to the Current Dashboard Tab or Community Page

You can restrict your search to display results only for content in the current active dashboard tab or 3DSwym community page.

Warning: Search in Current Tab supports simple text input, but operators like: <, =, >, NOT, wildcard (*, ?), special characters (#|{}""), and multibyte characters (for example, 平仮名) may not work. This is because each app has its own implementation of Search in Current Tab.

Search in the Current Dashboard Tab

In the Top Bar Search field, click , and select Search in Current Tab.

Notes:
  • Queries must have at least 2 characters for this search mode.
  • 3DSearch does not display suggestions for this search mode.
  • In 3DSwym, the Search in Current Tab becomes Search in Current Page, since it does not have any tabs.
  • When you switch from one tab to another, 3DSearch keeps the previous search mode.
  • When you perform a Search in Current Tab, a filter icon appears at the top of all widgets contained in this tab.

Clear Filters

To clear these filters, you can:
  • Click in the search field. Even if there is no string in the field, the clear option remains available to let you remove this filtering.
    Important: If there is already a filter applied in the 6WTags, clicking resets only the filter made in Search in Current Tab (the tag is still applied).
  • Switch from a tab to another.
  • Switch to another dashboard.
  • Change the search mode from Search in Current Tab to Search.

Clearing the search criteria reinstates the default criteria of all pinned search widgets.

Note: If the dashboard contains pinned search widgets, remember that pinned widgets keep their initial queries. It is therefore normal to see them in the Search Results panel, when you launch a new query in Search in Current Tab
