Upgrade Process

The upgrade process is different when you want to upgrade from one minor version to another, and when you want to upgrade from one major version to another.

To upgrade to:

  • One minor version to another (for example, from R2018xR1 to R2018xR2), you will need to install a refresh.
  • One major version to another (for example, from R2018x to R2019x), you will need to perform an upgrade.

You can review the release notes for the version of Exalead CloudView that you are upgrading to.

If you plan to skip a few Exalead CloudView versions during your upgrade, read the release notes for all versions between your current version and the version to which you are upgrading.

Check for Compatibility

Confirm that your operating system and hardware still comply with the system requirements of the version to which you are updating.
