Routing Shared Virtual Links on a Network

You can route a shared virtual link from the virtual links table editor.

Note: With the Avionics Architect (AVARA) role, you can work with Ethernet networks for Avionics.

  1. Double-click an emitter from the Shared Virtual Links folder in the tree.
    The virtual links table editor appears. For more information, see Virtual Links Table Editor.
  2. In the virtual link row, click Route virtual link on networks under the Routed on column.
    Note: You can also right-click a shared virtual link in the tree and select Route Shared Virtual Link.
  3. From the Subsystem list of the Route Shared Virtual Link dialog box, select a subsystem.
    The available network options are displayed in the Option pane.
  4. Select an option.
    The available paths are displayed in the Paths pane.
  5. Optional: To find a specific option, enter the name in the Filter results field.

    The field provides the following capabilities:

  6. To route the virtual link on the selected network option, do one of the following actions:
    • Double-click the selected option.
    • Select an option and click Route next to the Option pane.
    The selected network option appears in the New Routes pane, under the Routed on column.
  7. Optional: To remove the network option from the New Routes pane, click under the Action column.

The shared virtual link is routed on the network and updated in the virtual links table editor.
