Connecting Segments Distantly

You can connect segments electrically using a distant connection. Connecting segments distantly allows you to keep the connectivity between your electrical objects without modifying the route of your branches.

This task describes how to create a distant connection between a segment and a connection point. The scenario is identical for the creation of a distant connection between two segments.

Before you begin: Clear the Electrical link driven by geometry option in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Electrical and Electronic Systems > Electrical 3D Design > Branch section.

For more information, see Segment Connection.

Important: If you move a distantly-connected device from one product to another, the distant connection created between the segment and the connection point is deleted.
