Defining Customized Connector Representation

You can define a customized representation for the following connectors:

  • Connector port
  • Harness connector
  • Disconnect

Displaying Pins on a Connector
  1. Create a connector and insert a symbol representation under the reference.
  2. Double-click the symbol object to edit the symbol representation in Symbol Design.
  3. Create the connector representation.

    Note: For more information about the creation of a symbol, see Defining a Symbol Stretching Properties.

  4. From the Symbol Edition section of the action bar, click Exit App.
  5. In the tree, right-click the symbol representation of the connector reference and select Symbol Properties.
    The Define Symbol Properties dialog box appears.
  6. In the Offset field, define the distance between the top of the connector and the first pin.
    Every time the connector representation is placed in the diagram view, the same offset is applied.
  7. Click OK and save.
  8. In Data Setup, assign the connector reference to one of the following resources:
    • For harness connectors and disconnects: Default Electrical Components Representation
    • For connector ports: Default Electrical Connector Port Representation
