Exporting Content to CATIA Composer Files

You can export individual pieces of content to CATIA Composer files (*.smg, *.smgXml, *.smgProj) using the Export command.


Before you begin:

Open or explore the content you want to export.

Options for Exporting to CATIA Composer
  1. In the top bar, click Share > Export.
  2. In the Export dialog box, under the Required section, specify the following:
    1. From the Format list, choose CATIA Composer Files (*.smg, *.smgXml, *.smgProj).
      File on disk is automatically selected in the Target list. You cannot choose another option.
    2. Specify a location and file name in the corresponding boxes.
  3. Under the Options section, proceed as follows:
    1. In the Report tab, select the Save Report check box to generate a report with details about the export operation. Specify a location and name for the report in the corresponding boxes. For more information, see Exporting Content.
    2. Click the Composer Files tab and select a Composer file format. For more information, see About Composer Files.
    3. Click the Export Options tab and choose the options for exporting content to Composer. For more information, see About Export Options.
    4. Click the Advanced tab and define additional options for exporting content to CATIA Composer files. For more information, see About Advanced Options.
    5. Click the Right Manager tab and choose the options for enabling right manager capabilities for Composer files opened in Composer Player and Composer Player ActiveX Plug-in (Microsoft Office documents, 3D PDF, and so on). For more information, see About Right Manager.
  4. Click OK to start the export.
