Impacted Business Units

For Business Documents (not Services Specifications or Services Documents), you can view a list of business units impacted by the contents of the document. This category does not display for translations of Business Documents.

Required license roles: Services Product Manager, Services Product Developer, Services Product Contributor, Services Product Business Metrics, Review and Approve

To add a Business Document as a translation of a source Business Document, the translated Business Document cannot have any impacted business units. Only the source Business Document can have impacted business units defined. The source Business Document manages the impacted business units for all translations. For more information, see Translations.

To access this page:

  1. Open the required Business Document.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Impacted Business Units.

Columns

Column Name Description
Name Business unit name. You can click the name to view the Properties page for that business unit. For more information, see Company, Subsidiary, Business Unit, and Department Properties.
Type Business Unit.
Phone The main business unit phone number.
Web Site The URL of the business unit's web site.
Opens the Properties page for the business unit in a separate window.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

If this Business Document is defined as a translation of a source Business Document, these actions are not available.

Command Name Description For More Information
Add Impacted Business Unit Searches for and adds a business unit to indicate that this Business Document affects that business unit. Only active business units can be added.

If you own the Business Document, you can add business units in the Create or Draft states.

If you do not own the Business Document, you must have the Author or Leader access role and the Business Document must be in the Draft state.

Predefined Queries
Remove Removes the selected business unit from the list.

If you own the Business Document, you can remove business units in the Create or Draft states.

If you do not own the Business Document, you must have the Author or Leader access role and the Business Document must be in the Draft state.
