Projects Page

You can list the services projects you are a member of. The list of projects only includes projects you are assigned to as an individual person. Projects that you belong to because you are assigned to a group or role are not listed. You can search for these projects.

To work with other types of projects or use the Project Management tools to work with services projects, see Project Management User's Guide: Projects Page.

Required license role: Services Product Manager, Services Product Developer, Services Product Contributor, Services Product Business Metrics, Review and Approve

To access this page, use one of these methods:

  • List the app categories for Services Management for your role.
  • In the navigation pane, click My View or Projects.

Columns

Name Description
Name The name of the project.
The status flags indicate whether the project's tasks are behind schedule. The project's status flag reflects the status of the task that is most behind.

Flag Description
None The task is not late.
Green arrow The task is complete.
Yellow diamond The task is not complete and the days remaining are less than or equal to the threshold.
Red square The task is not complete and the system date is greater than the estimated End Date or Base Line End Date.

Current Phase The current gate, phase, task, or milestone of the project or subproject.
Type Project Space for standard projects or Project Concept.
Status The project or project concept's current lifecycle state. For a description of the states, see Project Space Lifecycle.
Owner The current owner of the project, which is the person who has primary responsibility for it.
Collaborative Space Only shows in the Projects tab on the My View page.

The collaborative space to which the project belongs.

Governed Product Only shows in the Projects app category.

Lists the related product.

Estimated Finish Date The date the project should be completed.
Act Finish The date the project was promoted to Complete. The system automatically promotes a project to complete when all its tasks are Complete.
Actual Start Date Only shows in the Projects app category.

The date work on the project started.

Created Date The date the project was created.
Program The programs the project is assigned to.
Business Unit Only shows in the Projects app category.

The business unit the project is assigned to.

Sponsor Only shows in the Projects app category.

The person who sponsors the project.

Description The description of the project.

Click to select a view.

Name Description

In Work

Shows only In Work projects. These are projects which are not Complete, On Hold, or Canceled.

Complete

Shows only those projects that have been completed.

Hold

Shows only those projects on hold. Available only to the project leader/owner.
Canceled Shows only those projects that were cancelled. Available only to the project leader/owner.

All

Shows all projects except for projects on hold or canceled.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

You must have the Author or Leader access role and the Services Product Manager or Services Product Developer license role to perform these actions.

Create Project Creates a services project. Creating Services Projects
Export Project Exports project information for the selected project. -
Add selected to Adds selected projects to an existing project. -
Delete Deletes a selected project; click OK.

Project Summary Report

The right panel shows only for the Projects tab on the My View page. You can hide or show the panel. For more information, see Project Management User's Guide: Projects Summary Report.

For any section, you can click the bar to load the items included in that bar in the table. You can also click one of these time period to view the items included in the value:

  • This week
  • This Month
  • Next 30 Days
  • Overdue

The panel includes these sections:

Section Description
Pending Tasks Shows a bar chart for each project. Each bar represents the number of pending tasks.
Pending Deliverables Shows a bar chart for each project. Each bar represents the pending deliverables of tasks and phases.
Pending Issues Shows a bar chart for each project. Each bar represents the pending issues for that project.
Assessments Shows a bar chart for each project. Each project has bars that represent the summary, resource, schedule, finance, and risk assessment from the last assessment for that project.
Efforts Shows a bar chart for each project. Each project has bars that represent the effort required for the actual, progress, and planned effort for the project.
