Add Content in a Bookmark
You can create a bookmark and add existing content from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Required access roles: Author, Leader, Contributor, Administrator.

Select a bookmark and click
Add.

Search for the content from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to add.

From the search results, select the required content and click
OK.
You can also drag objects from the search results, from the left pane, or from any
other widget to add.
The content is added to the bookmark.
Notes:
- You can add the same content to multiple bookmarks as bookmarks contain only content
references.
- When you add content created by a different user to your bookmark, the original
ownership and access privileges for the content are retained.
Upload a Folder
You can upload a folder from your computer to the Bookmark Editor.
Required access roles: Author, Leader, Contributor, Administrator.

Click
Upload Folder.

From your computer, select the folder and click Open.
The selected folder is uploaded as a new bookmark.
Notes:
- A separate document is created for each file in the folder and a new sub
bookmark is created for each folder in the structure.
- You can upload a maximum of 125 folders and 250 files, up to size 5 GB.
- A file can have a maximum size of 1 GB.

Refresh Bookmark Editor to update the contents of the bookmarks made by you
or any other user from a different app.
Notes:
- The
Upload Folder command is available only on the cloud.
- The command is unavailable when an upload is in progress.
- When the bookmark name and the folder name are the same, the bookmark is updated on
uploading the folder.
- If you upload a folder structure, only the folders that have files in them are used
for creating the bookmark. Folders without files are not uploaded.
Add Documents in a Bookmark
You can create a bookmark and add existing documents from your
computer.
Required access roles: Author, Leader, Contributor, Administrator.

Click
Add.

From your computer, select the document and click Open.
The selected document is uploaded to the child bookmark.
Note:
You can add the same content to multiple bookmarks as bookmarks contain
only content references.
Expand an Object
You can expand the structure to specific nodes and open the contents to
view.
Before you begin: In Preferences, you must select the
Allow Product Expand check box to activate the Find in
Context option in the context menu. For more information, see Customizing Preferences.

Select a root bookmark or a physical product.

Click
Expand N Levels.
You can also click
Expand All to expand all the structure and all of its contents in
one action.

Enter the number of levels and click .
The structure is expanded to the specific number of levels.
- Optional:
Select a root bookmark or a physical product and click
Collapse All to collapse all.
Note:
You can expand bookmarks to a maximum limit of 100 bookmarks. If you
expand more than 100 bookmarks, a warning message appears and expand or collapse of
bookmarks is not saved.
Copy or Move an Object
You can copy or move a bookmark or an object, or a bookmark that contains the
entire hierarchy, access rights, and the content.

Select a bookmark or an object.

Do one of the following.
- Click
Copy to copy the selection. You can also use the keyboard
shortcut Ctrl + C.
- Click
Cut to cut the selection. You can also use the keyboard
shortcut Ctrl + X.
Note:
To cancel the selection, press Esc on the
keyboard.

Open the required location and click
Paste to paste the selection. You can also use the keyboard
shortcut Ctrl + V.
The bookmark or the object is copied or moved to the new
location.
Notes:
- You cannot cut a root bookmark selected in the left pane.
- You can drag objects from one bookmark widget to another and select
Add to copy the object or select Move
to cut the object.
Copy Link to Share
You can copy the link to a bookmark or an object and share it with other users.
Clicking the link opens the bookmark or the object in the Bookmark Editor if the user has access to the bookmark
hierarchy.
Before you begin: Assign an access responsibility to the user before the user
can click the link to access the bookmark or the object.

Select the bookmark or the object to share.
You can also open the bookmark to share.

Click
Copy Link.
The link is copied.

Paste the link in an email, conversation, Swym community, or other location where
users can access and open it.
If the user has access to the bookmark or the object, clicking the link opens
it in the Bookmark Editor.
Note:
This command is deactivated for the Favorite sections, and when you
select multiple bookmarks or objects in the content view.
Modify the Properties
You can view and modify the properties of a bookmark or an object. The
Properties tab lets you view and modify the properties of the
bookmark or the object.
You can also view the log of actions performed on the
bookmark and preview the CAD content.
Before you begin: Select the required objects, and click
Properties
or
Information
. You can also press Alt + Enter. The Properties or
Information panel appears, with different tabs.
To modify the properties of the objects:

In the Properties tab, double-click anywhere in the tab,
or click Edit Mode
.

Enter a new value for the properties you want to modify.
Notes:
- If you selected several objects, the modifications apply to all the
selected objects.
- You cannot modify following properties.
- Type
- Name
- Dates
- Collaborative Space
- Maturity state
- Organization
- When editing, you can click Add Extensions to
include additional attributes. An extension is a set of attributes. The
dialog box that opens lists the extensions that are already attached, and
you can start entering to search for the extension you want to add.

Click Save to apply the modifications.
Click
Close to discard the changes.
Remove or Delete Objects
You can remove or permanently delete bookmarks and its contents. You can also
select multiple bookmarks to remove or delete.

Select a bookmark or an object.
You can click
Selection Assistant and select multiple objects. The following
selection options are available:
- Select All Visible: Selects all visible objects in the
structure.
- Select Children: Selects all the child objects of the
selected objects recursively. The selected objects remain selected.
- Select Inversion: Selects all the objects in the
structure except the branch of the object you selected. If you do not select an
object first, all objects in the structure, except the root, are selected.
- Select Parent: Selects the parent of the selected
objects. Selecting the parent object cancels the selection of the object you
selected.
- Select Siblings: Selects the sibling objects. Siblings
are objects that share a parent with the selected object. Selecting the sibling
objects cancels the selection of the object you selected.
- Select Leaves: Selects the leaves of the selected
objects. Leaves are objects that have no child object. Selecting the leaf objects
cancels the selection of the object you selected.
The number of selected objects is displayed next to the
Selection Assistant command.

Do one of the following.
- Click
Remove to remove the selected object.
- Click
Delete to permanently delete the object.
Note:
You cannot remove a bookmark, you can only delete it.
The object is detached or permanently deleted.
Display Modes
You can switch between different display modes to view bookmarks.

Click Display option.

Select a view mode.
The following selection options are available:
Tree view: Displays information in a table that contains one
row for each item. This view is useful when you want to see the most detailed
information about items, and to sort or group them based on this information. Do
the following to edit the tree view.

Right-click the column header.

Select Pin Column and select one of the following:
- Pin to the Right: Pin the column on the right side of the datagrid.
- Pin to the Left: Pin the column on the left side of the datagrid.
- No Pin: Unpin the column and return it to its previous location in the
datagrid.
Note:
You can pin several columns to the left or to the right.

Select Size Column to Fit to resize the current column to
fit its content.

Select Size All Columns to Fit to resize all columns at
once to fit their contents.

Select Remove Sort to remove alphabetical or numerical
sort of columns.
Note:
Click or
in the
column header to rearrange the bookmarks alphabetically or numerically. The
Is Last Revision and the Parent
Bookmark columns cannot be sorted in ascending or descending
order.

Select Tree List View Options and customize the view of
bookmark contents.
Tile view: Displays each item as a small tile. This view is
useful when you want to see minimal information about each item in a compact
format.
Thumbnail view : Displays each item as a medium-sized tile.
This view is useful when you want to see information about each item in a comfortable
format. The item's image is displayed in a large format.
The display of the bookmark along with its contents changes.
