  1. From the Fastener Section of the action bar, click Rules Immersive Report .
The Fastener Check Rules Report appears. To check the consistency rules and generate the report, the check capability takes the whole product structure into account. If you want to restrict the analysis, first select the fasteners of interest before running the command.

The report is displayed. The first six columns display information about a particular fastener and its reference. The other columns show the results of the various rules used.

The names of the columns follow this syntax: FDCR_Rule_RuleCriticality. For example, FDCR_STK_HP means "Fastener Design Check Rule + Stacking Consistency + High Priority".

The status for each rule is shown in the FDCR_STK_HP column. The possible statuses are:

    • OK if the rule is OK for the current fastener instance.
    • N/A if the rule is globally deactivated.

An error message is issued whenever the rule is KO.

Warning: Running the command on an entire product structure including a large number of fastener instances may take a considerable time to process.
  2. To perform corrections on fasteners causing trouble, right-click as many rows as you need and select Edit Selected Fasteners.

Important: Flexible Fastener Length Consistency (FFCL) is the specific rule available for detecting inconsistencies between the geometry of the fastener and the thickness of the stacking. When the rule check is KO, this means that the fastener reference thickness is not compatible with thickness of the stacking. In this case, you need to replace the wrong instance with another reference with a correct thickness. You can do this by right-clicking Fix FLC rule for selected fasteners. It is possible to multi-select KO fasteners and fix them using this command.

  3. Modify these fasteners.

When done, the check operation is run again. It computes the rules for these fasteners and then displays the Fastener Check Rules Report with updated results.

Important: This command behavior is possible only if the After Edition command option is selected. For more information, see General.

  4. Optional: To hide a column, right-click and select Hide Column.
  5. Optional: To restore the display of the column, right-click it and select Show Column.
Note: If you close the report without restoring hidden columns, next time you open the report, these columns will still be hidden.
  6. Click Close when done.

All the rules have been checked.

Note: The list of hidden columns if any, is stored in the CATSettings files. As a consequence, the next time you run Rules Immersive Report , the columns previously hidden are automatically hidden. This is very helpful whenever you do not want to examine all of them next time you run the capability. Generally, reports generate a large number of columns reports, but you may want to restrict your check to specific rules.
