Variant Values Page

The Variant Values page lists all the variant values for that specific variant.

To access this page:

  1. Open the variant. See Opening a Variant.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Variant Values.

Columns

Column Name Description
Display Name The display name of the variant or variant value. Expand the variant to show the variant values associated with it. Click the name to open the variant's and variant value's Properties page.
Name The name of the variant or variant value.
Type The object type: Variant or Variant Value
State The lifecycle state of the variant or variant value.
Display Text Any additional text describing the variant or variant value.
Seq No The sequence number of the variant value (default = 1). This value automatically increments in units of 100, by default.
On premises only: Your Business Administrator can configure the increment value to account for resequencing. If the variant value is removed from the context, the sequence number is not recalculated.
Default Selection Indicates whether the variant value has a default selection:
  • Yes
  • No
(Open in new window) Click to open the Properties page in a new window.
List Price The list price of the variant or variant value. If you update the list price of a variant value, you must manually update the total price of any product configuration that uses the variant.
Owner The owner of the variant or variant value.
Design Responsibility The organization responsible for the variant or variant value.

Copy > Copy From Copies variant values and selected related data from another variant to the current variant.
Note: You cannot share variant values between variants.

Copy > Copy To Copies variant values and selected related data from the current variant to another variant.
Note: You cannot share variant values between variants.

Delete Deletes the selected variant or variant value. Click OK to confirm.

Structure Compare Allows you to compare the structure of two different variants. Opens a Structure Compare window where you can choose the second variant and select criteria by which to compare the two.
