Curve Section

The Curve section of the action bar provides commands for creating points, curves, planes, boundaries, and grids.

This page discusses:

3D Curve
Creates a 3D curve using control points, possibly on a support element.
See Creating Curves Using Control Points.

Isoparametric Curve
Creates an isoparametric curve on a surface.
See Creating Isoparametric Curves on Surfaces.

Curve Projection
Projects a curve onto a surface.
See Creating Project Curves.

Styling Corner
Creates a connecting curve of a given radius between two planar curves.
See Creating Styling Corners.

Blend Curve
Creates a NURBS blend curve between between two end points on given curves.
See Creating Blend Curves.

Curve Offset
Offsets a curve with a specified distance in a defined direction.
See Creating Offset Curves.

Split Curve
Separates the splitable part of a surface from its non-splitable part to identify the transition areas.

Intersection
Creates an intersection curve between several intersecting surfaces.
See Creating Intersection Curves.

Flyout for Creating Points

Point
Creates a point.

Extremum Polar
Creates an element of extremum radius or angle, on a planar contour.

Extremum
Creates elements at the minimum or maximum distance on a curve, a surface, or a pad.

Flyout for Creating Curves

Circle
Creates circles and circular arcs.

Conic
Creates conics.

Combine
Creates a curve resulting from the intersection of the extrusion of two curves.

Intersection
Creates an intersection curve between several intersecting surfaces.
See Creating Intersection Curves.

Parallel Curve
Creates a curve parallel to a reference curve.

Spine
Creates spines normal to a list of ordered planes or planar curves.

Flyout for Creating Planes

Plane
Creates a plane.

Planes Between
Creates planes between other planes.

Flyout for Creating Boundaries

Boundary
Creates the boundary curve of a surface or the boundary point of a curve by selecting a surface edge or a surface.

Extract
Extracts a face or a surface edge.
See Extracting Elements.

Multiple Extract
Extracts sub-elements that are joined into one element.

Snap to point
Snaps the points you create to the nearest intersection points of the grid.
See Working with a Support.

Work Supports Activity
See Working with a Support

Plane System
Defines a number of planes in a given direction which can be used as reference planes or supports when creating other items.
See Creating Plane Systems.

Work on Support 3D
Allows working on a set of three support planes.
See Working with a 3D Support.
