Generative Human: Adding Clothes or Changing the Skin Tone

You can now add clothes or change the skin tone of a generative human.
Benefits: You can work with generative humans with different looks.

Generative Human: Changing the Height and Weight

You can now change the height and weight of a generative human.
Benefits: You can work with generative humans with different looks.

Human Hips

A new IK node is available when you adjust human postures. This node enables you to manipulate human hips.
Benefits: This feature is useful for adjusting sitting postures, especially when you work with mechanism representations or when you connect products to the human model.

R2022x GA

Human Templates

Human Design now provides:

  • New first-generation male models.

  • New textures for male models such as T-shirt, shoes, or pant textures.

You can apply these textures from the Combine section of the Edit Human panel. Clicking a second time on a selected mesh displays the list of available textures. You can then click a texture to apply it on the selected cloth.

Benefits: You can work with humans with different looks.

Generative Human

A new type of human is available: generative humans.


With generative humans, you can do the following:

  • Sculpt the body shape of the human model (for example, add muscles or body fat).
  • Modify advanced features such as the age or the gender.
  • Choose the visual quality you want to apply to the human model.

Benefits: This new type of human model is more realistic.

Immersive Virtuality: Using VR Trackers

You can now control the whole virtual body with the headset, VR controllers, and VR trackers.
Benefits: The hip and feet movement are tracked and mirrored to the virtual human model.

Optional Installation of Content

The app content is no longer automatically installed along with the code.
Benefits: You need to install it yourself, or contact your administrator.
