Giving Read-Only Access to Objects from Other Collaborative Spaces

Administrators can make objects available from other collaborative spaces in a read-only mode, so that they can be used in these collaborative spaces.

The Collaborative Space Applicability command is only available for physical products, and logical and functional references.

Recommendation: Do not to use the Collaborative Space Applicability command in a Baseline context, as it may result in an unexpected behavior. If you are using a customer-specific environment, configure the access rules according to your needs. For more information about baseline access roles, see Baseline Responsibilities.

Required access role: Administrator. For more information, see Collaborative Lifecycle Access to Content.

Environment: On premises only

  1. Select one or more objects.

    Important: Select objects that can be accessed from the same collaborative spaces. Any other object is automatically removed from the selection.

  2. From the Collaboration section of the action bar, click Collaborative Space Applicability .
    A dialog box appears. The icon indicates the collaborative spaces that already have access to the selected objects.
  3. To give access to the selected objects from a collaborative space, select the collaborative space in the left column, and then click Add.

    You can select several collaborative spaces, or click Add All.

    To remove the access to the selected objects from a collaborative space you added, select it in the right column, and then click Remove.

  4. Click OK.

    Warning: Once you click OK, you can no longer remove the access to the selected objects from the collaborative spaces you added.
