Manufacturer Equivalent Parts List

Compliance Reviewers, Compliance Engineers, Senior Compliance Engineers, and Compliance Administrators can view the MEPs associated with a material declaration.

To access this page:

  1. Open the required Material Declaration. For more information, see Opening a Material Declaration.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Manufacturer Equivalent Parts.

Columns

Column NameDescription
Manufacturer Part Name The MEP name
Manufacturer Part DescriptionThe description of the MEP.
Manufacturer Part RevisionThe revision of the MEP.
Equiv Ref WeightThe equivalent reference weight for the MEP. This value is originally empty and not inherited from the weight of the MEP. The part provided by each supplier could have a different weight, so each MEP connected to the Material Declaration can be defined with a different weight value.
ManufacturerThe supplier of the MEP associated with the material declaration.
Manufacturer LocationThe location of the manufacturer.
Enterprise PartThe enterprise part referenced to the MEP.

Add Existing Adds one or more MEPs from the same manufacturer and manufacturer location of an already connected MEP. After you select this action, a search page will display the manufacturer and manufacturer locations for existing MEPs. Once a MEP is added, the new MEP entry is shown in green. This option is enabled only for a material declaration in the Created state.
Note: To perform "Add Existing" you must first click "Enable Edit".
About Searches
RemoveRemoves the selected MEPs from the material declaration. When a MEP is disconnected from a material declaration, the enterprise part which is referenced in the MEP and directly connected to the material declaration also disconnected from the material declaration. At least one MEP needs to remain connected to the material declaration. This option is enabled only for a material declaration in the Created state. -
Enable EditAllows you to change the equivalent reference weight or referenced enterprise part.-
