Active Material Declarations

You can view active material declarations and their MEPS and take actions on them.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Reader, Leader
  • App-specific: Compliance Reviewer, Compliance Engineer, Compliance Administrator

To access this page:

  1. Open the required reported part. For more information, see Opening a Reported Part.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Active Material Declarations, or, click Material Declaration PowerView then click the Active Material Declarations tab.

Columns

The list includes these columns:

Column NameDescription
Material Declaration Name The name of the material declaration and all of its MEPs.
Equiv Ref WeightThe equivalent reference weight for the MEP. This value is originally empty and not inherited from the weight of the MEP. The part provided by each supplier could have a different weight, so each MEP connected to the Material Declaration can be defined with a different weight value.
Enterprise Part NameThe name of the enterprise part that references the MEP.
Enterprise Part RevisionThe revision level of the parent enterprise part that references the MEP.
Manufacturer Part NameThe name of the MEP.
ManufacturerThe parent MEP manufacturer which is the supplier of the MEP. To view the supplier properties, click the Manufacturer.
Manufacturer Location The location of the manufacturer.
StateThe lifecycle state of the part.
IMDSOnly displays if the ELV data management option is used:

Column NameDescription
Request Pending A true or false indication of whether a corresponding IMDS request was created for this material declaration.
Request IDThe ID of the corresponding IMDS request.
Request TypeThe type of IMDS request: Component or SemiComponent.
ProjectThe IMDS project for the request.
Direct Upload StatusThe status of the request IMDS request.

Due DateThe due date for supplier submission.
Received Date The date on which this declaration was received.
Accepted Date The date on which this declaration was accepted.
Rejected DateThe date on which this declaration was rejected.
Submission Format The submission format for the declaration.
Import File Name

The name of the file used to import the declaration.

Owner

The owner of the declaration.

Create New Material Declaration Creates a new material declaration.

You must have the Author or Compliance Engineer access role.

Creating Material Declarations
Accept Accepts the selected material declarations. Enter comments regarding the acceptance.

All information from the top-level reported part that is directly connected to the material declaration is copied to the manufacturer equivalent part (MEP). If more than one MEP is associated with a material declaration, the reported part will be copied to each MEP.

Reported materials directly connected to the top-level reported part are copied to the manufacturer equivalent part directly as external materials. Any child EBOM structure under the reported part are copied to the manufacturer equivalent part as the supplied part EBOM structure along with materials as external materials.

You must have the Author, Leader, or Compliance Engineer access role.

Reject Rejects the selected material declarations. Enter comments regarding the rejection.

You must have the Author, Leader, or Compliance Engineer access role.

Cancel Cancels the selected material declarations. Enter comments regarding the cancellation.

You must have the Author, Leader, or Compliance Engineer access role.
