  1. Click the Refinements icon in the toolbar to select filter options.
    1. Select filter options:

      FieldDescription
Revision Select a revision type from the list:
      • As Stored. Shows the stored values for the part. By default, the BOM opens with all the part’s stored values.
      • Latest. Shows the latest revisions for all child parts.
      • Latest Complete. Shown only for development parts, shows the latest revision that is complete.
PlantSelect a plant from the list.
Note: A plant must be assigned to the parent part (that is, the manufacturing responsibility must be assigned).
DeviationSelect a deviation option from the menu. Select True to show the deviation icon for parts that have an active deviation in the BOM.

    2. Click Filter.

When you select a filter, the filter is applied on both BOM connections and corresponding part revisions. For example, when an BOM is filtered for “BOM Status= Current,” currently-effective BOM connections appear along with the currently-effective part revisions for each connection.

After you close the Refinement slide in, the subheader is updated with the selection criteria, including the information about the plant for the current view. The selection criteria in also shown in the subheader of the Printer friendly and Export pages.

  2. Use the page toolbar to select filter options for the BOM:
    1. Expand Levels. You can expand or collapse each part level of the BOM by clicking the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to the left of the part name or, from the page toolbar, click Expand All to expand all parts or click Expand n levels to select the number of levels to expand, or select one of the following:

      • All. Shows BOM assemblies in all levels of the BOM hierarchy above the part.
      • End Item. The BOM is searched up to the level of the first end item in each branch. If no end item is available in a given level of a branch, the search is continued up to the highest level. Only the first end item in each branch is displayed.
Note: If substitutes or alternates are included, you will not see their BOMs when an expand all is done. You can use the plus (+) button to expand those parts.

    2. Search for specific parts within a list of all connected primary and secondary parts.
