Splitting Quadrangles into Triangles

You can improve the mesh quality by splitting quadrangle elements into triangle elements.

Before you begin: Open the Surface Mesher.

About Mesh Context Toolbars
  1. From the Edit section of the action bar, click Split Quadrangles .
  2. In the Element quality list, select the quality for which you want to split the elements.

    To visualize element quality, use Mesh Visualization Quality. For more information, see About Mesh Visualization.

  3. Select the mesh for which you want to split the elements.
  4. Click OK.
