Content Categories

Depending on your access role, you can create and manage the following types of content with Data Setup.

Access Roles

Data Setup uses the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 3DSpace baseline access roles that your business administrator assigns to you. The table below describes the level of access for each role.

Access Role	Description
Owner	The administration of resources associated with a collaborative space is typically a task reserved to the Owner. Thus the Data Setup app can only be accessed by the Owner. Pay attention to the fact that the creation of a document in Data Setup is impossible: A document is a "Definition" data that creation is reserved to the Author and the Leader. As a consequence, such documents should be created by the person in charge of design tasks or by experts, then they can be attached to one or many collaborative spaces as resources data by the Owner using theData Setup. You can create a resource set/a business rule and bind it to a collaborative space. Note: You can export or import 3DXML file containing resource sets and business rules. This is the recommended way to update a deployed customization. The import does not do a bind, but it keeps existing bindings. Only the first binding needs to be done.
Administrator	Creates a resource set/a business rule, and binds it to a collaborative space, “Corporate” or not. In that last case (not “Corporate”), if the Administrator is the first to bind a resource set to that collaborative space, it prevents the Owner from binding any other resource set. Exports / "Imports As Ref" 3DXML containing resource sets and business rules. Note: You can export or import 3DXML containing resource sets and business rules. This is the recommended way to update a deployed customization. The import does not do a bind, but it keeps existing bindings. Only the first binding needs to be done.

Your business administrator can change the default accesses to commands, content, and collaborative spaces. Companies can also implement customized roles and accesses. This guide describes the default behavior when describing access to content or commands.
