Setting up the Fill Simulation

The fill simulation predicts how molten polymer material fills the mold cavity. The default values for the fill simulation are suitable for most simulations, but you can adjust any of these parameters to customize the rate at which the molten polymer enters the cavity.

  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, click Process Settings .
  2. Open the Fill simulation expander.
  3. Optional: Customize the fill rate profile.

    By default, the molten polymer is injected into the cavity at a constant rate. You can modify this behavior by selecting or defining a fill rate profile that specifies the flow rate percentage over time. Click to define a new profile, or click to customize the currently selected profile

  4. Optional: Modify the Injection pressure limit, which determines the maximum pressure that the injection machine can apply at the injection locations.
  5. Click OK.
