automatically by the system. See

Title
|
A short, descriptive title of the
opportunity.
|
State
|
Shows the opportunity's current state,
which can be:
- To Do. The assignees can begin working on the opportunity by
promoting it to In Work, which populates the actual start
date with the current date, or by entering an actual start
date, which automatically promotes the opportunity to In
Work.
- In Work. The assignee is working on the opportunity.
- In Approval. The opportunity is ready to be reviewed by other
project or company personnel. Assignees route the
opportunity for review. When such a route is completed, the
system automatically promotes the opportunity to Completed.
Alternatively, the owner or assignee can manually promote
the opportunity to Completed or enter an actual finish date,
which promotes the opportunity.
- Completed. The opportunity has been reviewed and is completed.

Opportunity Type
|
The opportunity type, for example, Cost,
Quantity, Technical, Resource, Performance, Schedule, Benefits,
Manufacturability, or Other.

Estimated Benefit
|
The amount of the estimated benefit.
|
OPN
|
The OPN represents a specific opportunity
probably factor for an opportunity. A single opportunity can have multiple
OPNs, each representing separate aspects of opportunity probability.
Impact and Probability numbers for an OPN roll up to the
opportunity level once saved.

Impact
|
The significance of the opportunity to the
organization. The values are 1 -5, with 5 indicating opportunities with the
highest value.

Probability
|
The probability of accomplishing the
opportunity. The values are 1 -5, with 5 indicating opportunities most likely
to be realized..

Effective Date
|
The date on which the impact and
probability are defined.
|
Estimated Start Date
|
The date the owner estimates the
opportunity assignee will begin to resolve the issue.
|
Estimated End Date
|
The date the owner estimates the
opportunity assignee will finish the resolution.
|
Actual Start Date
|
The date an assignee begins work on the
opportunity. The system fills in the current date automatically when the owner
or assignee promotes the opportunity to Active. Alternatively, the owner or an
assignee can manually enter or edit the date.

Actual End Date
|
The date the assignee completes the
opportunity. The system fills in the current date automatically when the owner
or assignee promotes the opportunity to Complete. Alternatively, the owner or
assignee can manually enter or edit the date.

Assignee
|
The people assigned to work on the
opportunity. Each name is separated by a comma.

Description
|
The description entered by the Project Lead
or Opportunity assignee.
