Removing a Traceability Link Between Requirements in the Requirements Structure Editor

You can remove a traceability link that defines a refining or covering relationship between selected requirements in the Requirements Structure Editor.


Before you begin: The requirement specification structure that contains either the source or target requirement in the traceability link must already be opened in the Requirements Structure Editor on the dashboard.

Configuring Preferences for the Requirements Structure Editor
  1. Click in the Refined Into or Covers columns for the requirement that is either the source or target of the traceability link.
    The Links Management dialog box opens.
  2. Select the requirement that either covers or refines the requirement as defined through the traceability link.
  3. Click Detach to remove the traceability link between the requirements.

The traceability link is created between the requirements. The Refined Into and Covers columns will update the next time that the content is indexed.
