Configuring Preferences for the Requirements Structure Editor

You can configure the behavior of the Requirements Structure Editor on the Edit Preferences page.


Before you begin: The Requirements Structure Editor must be opened on the dashboard. It does not need to have content.

  1. From the Requirements Structure Editor's Menu at the top of the widget, select Preferences.
    The Edit Preferences page opens.
  2. Edit the preferences values as needed for your business requirements.

    PreferenceDescription
    3DExperience PlatformSelect the 3DEXPERIENCE platform that you want to use to create and edit requirement specification structures.
    Current Security ContextSelect the your credentials on that 3DEXPERIENCE platform that you want to use when creating, and editing requirement specification structures.
    Populate tagsSelect the check box to populate the field values for objects when they are created.

    If the check box is not selected, no field values are populated for objects when they are created.

    Use IndexSelect the check box to use information from the index server to quickly display object information. This is the default setting.

    If the check box is not selected, the database mode is used to display object information, which is slightly less efficient.

    Default Requirement TypeSelect the default type of requirement that you want to create in the Requirements Structure Editor.
    Default Requirement Specification TypeSelect the default type of requirement specification that you want to create in the Requirements Structure Editor.

  3. Click Save to implement your preferences.

The Requirements Structure Editor now uses your selected preferences.
