Using Structure Capture

You can use structure capture to automatically mark up text for capture using Microsoft Word's outline view. All heading-level text is marked as chapters and any other text is marked as body text.

Note: You cannot use structure capture to capture sub requirements.

Required responsibilities:

  • Baseline: Leader (when the object is in the Frozen state) or Author

Depending on your requirement capture options, heading-level text can appear highlighted using the default Microsoft Word highlighting color. Other text is also shaded according to your capture preferences. For more information, see Editing Requirement Capture Preferences for Microsoft Word.
