Compare/Align Dispositions Page

The Compare/Align Dispositions page lists the defects that affect the selected model version revisions and shows the disposition status of each defect. If a defect that is shared by two model version revisions has a disposition for one model version revision but not for the other, you can either align or copy a disposition from the revision that has one to the one that does not.

Required access roles:

  • App-specific: Defect Engineer
  • Baseline: Author

To access this page for a model:

  1. In an app with Defect Management active, click .
  2. Open the model. See Opening a Model.
  3. In the navigation pane, click Model Version Derivations.
  4. Select two model version revisions from those listed.
  5. From the toolbar, select Actions Compare/Align Dispositions .

To access this page for a model version:

  1. In an app with Defect Management active, click .
  2. Open the model version. See Opening a Model Version.
  3. In the navigation pane, click Defect Management.
  4. Select the Model Version Derivations tab.
  5. From toolbar, select Actions > Compare/Align Dispositions .

Columns

Column NameDescription
Defect:
NameThe name of the defect. Click to open the defect. See Defect Properties.
TitleThe short defect title (copied from the defect).
Model Versions:
Model Version Name/RevisionThe name and revision of the two model version revisions that are both affected by the listed defects.
Disposition Details:
NameThe name of the disposition. Click to open the disposition. See Disposition Properties Page.
TypeThe type of disposition used to address the defect.
TitleThe short disposition title (copied from the disposition).
Disposition Defect Action Details:
Defect Action NameThe name of the defect action. Click to open the defect action. See Defect Action Properties.
TitleThe short defect action title (copied from the defect action).
StateThe state of the defect action.
Committed Model VersionThe name and revision of the model version to which the defect action is committed. Click to open the model version revision. See Model Version Properties Page.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

These actions are only available if one of the compared model version revisions has a disposition that can be aligned or copied to the other model version revision. See Aligning or Copying a Defect Disposition Between Model Version Revisions.

Copy Copies the existing disposition information to a new disposition for the model version revision that does not have one, but does not associate the new disposition with the same defect action. The model version revisions' dispositions now share some information, but they are not the same.
