Name | Unique identifier for the defect, usually an autoname such as DFT-003042. |
Originated | The date the defect was created. |
Title | A brief description of the defect. |
State | Shows the states the defect must go through to be resolved, with the current state highlighted in yellow:State | Description |

Submit | You still need to gather additional details for the defect, but you want to enter the information you currently have. | Evaluate | You have entered all the needed details and the defect is ready for assessment. | Open | The defect is being worked on and there are one or more defect actions associated with the defect. |
Closed | All defect actions associated with the defect have been completed and the defect is considered resolved. |
Rejected | The Defect Manager determined that the problem is not considered a defect. |

Expected Completion Date | The date when all associated defect actions are expected to be complete and verified. |
Reported Against Model Version | The model version revision in use when the defect was found. Click to open the model version. |
Introduced In | The first revision of the model version where the defect is thought to exist. Click to open the model version revision. |

Type | The object type (Defect). |
Policy | Shows the policy that governs the defect's lifecycle. |
Reason for Rejection | Lists the reason the defect was not accepted. Only shows if the defect is in the rejected state. |
Reason for Demotion | Only shows if the defect was demoted from one state in its lifecycle to an earlier state. If the defect is subsequently promoted, the field is removed from the properties page. |

Originator | The person who reported the defect. |
Reporting Organization | The organization associated with the person who reported the defect. Click to open the organization. |
Owner | Initially, the person who created the defect. |

Severity | How severe the defect is, where S0 is a showstopper and S3 is the least severe. |
Priority | The priority for fixing this defect, where P0 means the highest priority and P3 is the lowest priority. |
Description | A detailed description of the defect. |
Steps to Reproduce | A step-by-step procedure showing exactly how to reproduce the defect. |
Environment | The environment (client and server operating systems, browsers, and so on) where the defect occurred. Click to open the environment. See Environment Page. |
