Approving a Study

You can review and approve a defined study.


Before you begin: You can only approve a study in the Pending Approval lifecycle state. To approve a study, you must be an approver selected by the user who requested approval.

About the Lifecycle of a Study
  1. From the Home Page, open the study to approve.

    Tip: You can directly open a study requiring approval from a notification in the 3DNotification Center. For more information, see Managing 3DNotifications.

  2. Review the study's members, materials, storage conditions, time points, tests, and amounts.

  3. Click Approve if the study is correct.

    When you approve a study that includes requests to manufacture material lots, the approval applies to the manufacture as well as the test tasks.

    If the study requires edits, reject the study. For more information, see Withdrawing a Study.

    The form to request rejection or approval of the study opens. For more information, see Study Signature Form.
  4. Choose the reason for signing the study and add a comment.
  5. Enter your password to confirm that you are formally providing your electronic signature.
  6. Click Sign.

The Summary tab for the study is shown. The Lifecycle and Status tab shows that the study is now in the Approved state.
