From the Smart View section of the action bar, click Create View
.
If you are creating the view from the 3D window, in the tree, select a sheet in which you want to create the view.

In the Smart View Panel dialog box, click
Select multiple objects
and select a 3D
object from the 3D area.
Note:
Only the view objects that are under the same root product can be selected.

Select a view template from the following:
- View Items: You can directly reuse a
view template from another view.
- View Templates: You can select a view template from the
Catalog Browser
.
The template chapter is saved as
preference for next time usage.

Select a view plane using any of the following methods:
- Select a plane directly from the 3D area.
You can select the following
objects: a plane, a plane within the axis system, an SFD panel, an SDD
panel, or a stiffener. The support plane is selected automatically.
- Select a plane from the project plane systems.
- Click Project Plane Systems
.
The planes are retrieved from the .
- In the Project Plane Systems browser, select a
plane system from the list.
The corresponding planes are shown.
- Select a plane.
The view plane visualization is shown in 3D with
an arrow representing the view looking direction.
- Select a plane from the Show 3D viewer
.
In the 3d Viewer panel,
the following commands are available:

Hide/Show Space Reference System
: Adds or removes the Space
Reference System (SRS) planes in the viewer.
Note:
If the SRS is included in the selected root and is
visible, by default, the planes appear. The command does
not change the hide/show status.
- Reframe on
: Centers the view on the 3D
objects.
- Select a plane from the 2D object.
- Optional:
Under View Properties, double-click the required
parameter and modify it.
Notes:
Some properties are retrieved from the view template and cannot be edited.
- Modifying view looking direction: Modify the view looking direction by
clicking the arrow on the view plane in the 3D area.
- Modifying view orientation: Use the view orientation compass available at the lower-right
corner of the screen. Click the corresponding orientation direction to view
the list of available directions, and select an orientation to modify it.
Click the DISC to see the view orientation in 3D
preview.

In the
Primary Content Filter tab, filter the 3D
data.

Click Show Preview in 2D
to preview
the 3D view in the sheet.
You can select a location to place the view. To position
the view at the selected location, activate Show Preview in
2D
.
