Note:
Simulation Attribute is not a business type. However, the
management of attributes when used with attribute groups is considered Resource
data for access purposes.
The content you can access and the tasks you can perform depend on your access role. For more
information, see 3DEXPERIENCE
Platform: Content Categories.
Access Roles
Optimization
Process Composer uses 3DEXPERIENCE platform
3DSpace baseline roles. For more information, see Baseline Responsibilities.
For all roles, you cannot demote content once it is promoted to the Released or Obsolete
state. Only an Administrator can delete content in the Released or Obsolete
state.
Baseline Access Role |
Description |
Reader
|
Can access simulation content only in the Frozen, Released,
or Obsolete state.
|
Contributor
|
Uses predefined objects, such as experiences, attribute
groups, and connectors, to create and run simulation
processes and simulation activities.
Can also do the following:
- Modify connector options.
- Create download, upload, and delete rules.
- Add an attribute group to simulation processes and
simulation activities.
- Define the parameters and attributes of a simulation
process.
- Copy references or documents with content.
- Create documents or links to documents.
- Put common content into documents.
- Specify the download, upload, and delete rules for
documents.
- Run simulation processes and activities.
- Create revisions.
- Perform PLM collaborative tasks, such as initiating
a review.
|
Author
|
Creates and configures simulation processes and simulation activities that can be
used as experiences by the simulation analyst. Also creates the
following:
- Connectors that a simulation activity uses to run
simulation applications and define the arguments and
options that will be available to the Simulation
Analyst.
- Simulation experiences
Can do the following:
- Create an attribute group and delete an attribute
group that the Simulation Attribute Group
Administrator owns.
- Add and remove attributes from the attribute group.
- Modify the properties of an attribute in the
attribute group.
A person with the role of Simulation Attribute Group
Administrator cannot create attributes. |
Leader
|
Reviews simulation objects in the review lifecycle state and
determines if they can be promoted to the next lifecycle
state.
Can do the following:
- Create, modify, and delete an attribute group.
- Create, modify, and delete an attribute.
The following options can be changed from the
Collaborative Spaces Configuration Center app:
- Allow Leader to modify Frozen
content: This option is selected by
default.
|
Owner
|
Provides other users access to simulation objects to which
the Simulation Access Manager already has access.
The following options can be changed from the
Collaborative Spaces Configuration Center app:
- Allow Owner to modify Released
content: This option is selected by
default.
|
Restricted roles allow partners to access content owned by their company within a
specific collaborative space. The table below describes the level of access for
restricted roles for design tasks. For more information, see Restricted Responsibilities.
Access Role |
Description |
Reader (Restricted) |
Has read access to any content owned by their
organization. |
Contributor (Restricted) |
For content owned by their organization, can
perform the same actions as a Contributor. |
Author (Restricted) |
For content owned by their organization, can
perform the same actions as an Author. |
Leader (Restricted) |
For content owned by their organization, can
perform the same actions as a Leader. |
Owner (Restricted) |
For content owned by their organization, can
perform the same actions as an Owner. |
Your business administrator can change
the default accesses to commands, content, and collaborative spaces. Companies
can also implement customized roles and accesses. This guide describes the
default behavior when describing access to content or
commands.
For more information, see
3DEXPERIENCE
Platform:
Responsibilities.
