In this guide, you learn how to:
- Save SOLIDWORKS geometry to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and use 3DEXPERIENCE
simulation apps to
define and run your simulations. The simulation data is stored on a secure 3DEXPERIENCE
server on the cloud in the collaborative space that you choose when you first log in. For
more information, see Saving SOLIDWORKS Geometry and Initializing a 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation.
- Apply design changes within SOLIDWORKS, update the geometry data on the 3DEXPERIENCE
platform, and then rerun the simulation to update the results. For more information, see
Applying Design Changes and Updating 3DEXPERIENCE Simulations.
- Transfer SOLIDWORKS geometry with SOLIDWORKS Simulation features to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. There is a direct mapping of certain simulation studies and features to 3DEXPERIENCE
analysis cases and features. You can then define more advanced 3DEXPERIENCE
simulations powered by state-of-the-art SIMULIA
Abaqus simulation technology. For more information, see Saving SOLIDWORKS Geometry with SOLIDWORKS Simulation Studies.
- Identify SOLIDWORKS Simulation studies and features that are transferred to 3DEXPERIENCE
simulation analysis cases and features. For more information, see Mapping of SOLIDWORKS Simulation Features.
