A test specification can have prerequisites (activities that must be fulfilled before it can start). At the same time, a test specification can be a prerequisite to other test specifications; it must be completed before the other test specifications start. Test cases can also have prerequisites or dependencies. Validation and Verification Strategy allows test cases to have dependencies or prerequisites from other test specifications. You can view the dependencies and prerequisites in the Relations Explorer, a graphical
overview of the relationships of selected test management objects. For example, in the
Relations Explorer below, the test case Copy of TC2 is a prerequisite
for Copy of TC1, which itself, is a prerequisite for Test
Case 01. In the Review pane, the linked test specifications appear with a linked icon in the hierarchy of the test cases, test executions, and test results in your test specification. |
