The 3DEXPERIENCE database icon identifies the databases to which you have access.

The first time you click a database during your session, you may be prompted to log in.

When you expand a directory within Connector for SOLIDWORKS, the navigation pane displays your My Work directory , the workspaces , and the folders inside the workspace you have access to in the 3DEXPERIENCE database.

The color and icons of folders in Windows Explorer indicate their location and status in Connector for SOLIDWORKS:

Green

The folder is in a workspace in the database.

The folder is in your My Work directory.
Blue

The folder is in a database but you are offline. Select Tools > Work Online and log in. If you have logged in, the login dialog is not displayed and the Online mode is enabled.
Gray

The folder is local to your hard drive and does not exist in the database. Right-click and select Check In if you have permission to add files to the database.
Yellow

The folder is not in your local view of the database, and does not exist in the database.

Both workspaces and folders have data cards. You can right-click them and click Properties to view their properties or perform folder operations. My Work does not have a data card.

To access 3DEXPERIENCE folders, files, and commands in the right pane:

  • Click My Work to open the My Work directory and list its folders.
  • Click a workspace to open the workspace view in the right pane.
  • Click a folder in either a workspace or My Work to open a list of the files it contains in the right pane.
