Customizing Column Display in Command Dialog Boxes

You can choose which columns to display in the Check In, Check Out , Get, Increment Revision, Baseline, Undo Check Out, and Copy Structure dialog boxes. For these dialog boxes, you can apply your customization in either the Details or Content View Mode.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Open the dialog box (Check In, Check Out , Get, Increment Revision, Baseline, Undo Check Out, or Copy Structure) that you want to customize.

Customize Column Display in the Details View Mode

You can choose which columns appear in the Details View Mode

  1. Go to the Details View Mode.
    1. From the dialog box toolbar, click View Mode .
    2. Click Details.
  2. To hide a presently visible column heading:
    1. Right-click in the Name list.
    2. Click Column.
    3. Click the heading name to clear the check mark.

    You cannot hide the Name column. Its check box is inactive.

  3. To add column headings:
    1. Right-click in the Name list.
    2. Click Column.
    3. Click More.
    4. From the Choose Columns dialog box, click any column heading name that you want to add
      All the column heads you want to display have check marks.
    5. Click OK.

The command dialog box displays with your column heading selections.

Customizing the Display in the Content View Mode

You can customize the Content View Mode display of a command dialog box.

  1. Go to the Content View Mode.
    1. From the dialog box toolbar, click View Mode .
    2. Click Content.
  2. To hide a presently visible column heading:
    1. Right-click in the File list.
    2. Click Column.
    3. Click the heading name to clear the check mark.

    You cannot hide the File column. Its check box is inactive.

  3. To display a Result, Options, Paths, or Properties column:
    1. Right-click in the File list.
    2. Click Column.
    3. From the column heading list, click the column headings you want to display

      Note: To include additional information, such Size, Customer, and more, ensure that Properties has a check mark.

  4. To display additional information in the Properties column:
    1. Right-click in the File list.
    2. Click Column.
    3. From the list, click the second Properties.
    4. From the Choose Properties dialog box, click each item that you want to include in the Properties column.

      All the items that you want to appear in the Properties column have check marks.

    5. Click OK.

The command dialog box displays with your column head selections and the additional information in the Properties column.
